Adam is a Minnesota-native and a former
University of Minnesota Golden Gopher. He helped
the Gophers to the NCAA Championship over the University of Maine at the Xcel Energy Center in April of 2002.
In his first year pro, Adam was named to the East Coast Hockey League’s Southern Conference All-Star Team. He went on to earn a spot on the league’s All-Rookie Team that same year. From 2003-’06 , Adam led the Manchester Monarchs, the AHL affiliate of the L.A. Kings, in all goaltending categories. In the ’04-’05 season, he broke the franchise record for shutouts, and became one of only three goalies in the entire history of the American Hockey League (1917-2005) to post a goals against average lower than 2.00 in two consecutive seasons. |
