The
Kölner Haie can confirm a further new addition
for the upcoming season. The last details of a deal
have been finalized with netminder Adam Hauser. The
American joins the KEC from AHL club Manchester Monarchs
and has inked a deal until 2007.
The 26-year-old goaltender was picked by the Edmonton Oilers in the third round of the 1999 draft. The most important ports of call in his career to date were the US Junior national team, the University of Minnesota (NCAA), the Jackson Bandits (ECHL) and most recently the Manchester Monarchs (AHL). Hauser was the starting goaltender at the Monarchs. Between 2003 and 2006, he recorded 15 shut-outs in a total of 120 regular season games. In the last three seasons, he has averaged 2.17 goals against per game (regular season).
“In recent years, Adam Hauser has been amongst the AHL's top goaltenders. He’s still young and will be looking to use the DEL as a springboard into the NHL”, according to Haie Sporting Director Rodion Pauels.
