Another night, another shootout.
Petr Kanko's goal with 31 seconds left in regulation capped a two-goal comeback, and Adam Hauser stopped four of five attempts in the shootout as Manchester skated out of the Pepsi Arena with a 3-2 win over Albany in an Atlantic Division battle on Tuesday night.
The Monarchs hit the quarter-pole of the 2005-06 season with a record of 14-3-0-3. Thirteen of their first 20 games have gone to overtime, and Manchester has won six of its nine shootout contests.
Noah Clarke scored once in the third period and once in the shootout for the Monarchs.
Hauser settled in after allowing first-period goals to Ivan Khomutov and Aleksander Suglobov and finished with 35 saves.
Manchester, currently on an 11-game points streak (9-0-0-2), is a combined 33-4-0-3 in the first 20-game segments of the last two seasons. The Monarchs turned a 20-1-0-0 start to the 2004-05 campaign into their first division championship.
