MANCHESTER, NH – The Los Angeles Kings, the parent club of the Manchester Monarchs, have activated left wing Dustin Brown from the injured reserve list and recalled goaltender Adam Hauser and defenseman Richard Petiot from Manchester, Kings President of Hockey Operations/General Manager Dave Taylor announced today.

Brown, 21, has missed the club’s last three games with a chest bruise. He was placed on the injured reserve list on January 9 (retroactive to January 3) after being injured on January 2 in a game against Dallas. In 42 games with the Kings this season, the 6-foot, 200-pound native of Ithaca, New York, has 16 points (7-9=16) and 45 penalty minutes.

Originally selected by the Kings in the first-round (13th overall) of the 2003 NHL Entry Draft, Brown has 21 points (8-13=21) and 61 penalty minutes in 73 career NHL regular season games, all with the Kings.

Hauser, 25, has a record of 14-8-2, a goals-against-average of 2.80 and a save-percentage of .911 in 21 games with the Monarchs this season. The 6-foot-2, 194-pound native of Bovey, Minnesota, was recalled by the Kings in November but did not appear in a game. Signed by the Kings as a free agent on July 8, 2004, Hauser will wear jersey No. 45 when he joins the Kings in Boston and dresses for tonight’s game against the Bruins.

Petiot, 23, has eight points (3-5=8), 26 penalty minutes and a plus-11 rating in 30 games with the Monarchs this season. The 6-foot-3, 200-pound native of Daysland, Alberta, was originally selected by the Kings in the fourth-round (116th overall) of the 2001 NHL Entry Draft. He has been recalled by the Kings on multiple occasions this season but has not appeared in a regular season game. Petiot wears jersey No. 2.

The Monarchs host the Lowell Lock Monsters on Friday, January 13 at the Verizon Wireless Arena. Face-off is scheduled for 7:35 p.m.
