| MANCHESTER, NH – The Manchester Monarchs, AHL Affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings (NHL), have agreed to terms on a five-year contract extension with Clear Channel Radio, Monarchs President Jeff Eisenberg announced today. The agreement calls for WGIR-AM 610, the flagship station of Newsradio (WGIR-AM 610/WGIN-AM 930/WGIP-AM 1540/WTSL-AM 1400) for each of the past two seasons, and its affiliates to broadcast Monarchs games through the 2007-08 season. “Clear Channel Radio has been a great partner of the Monarchs since our inception,” said Eisenberg. “For two seasons Clear Channel has demonstrated its commitment to the team and to Monarchs fans throughout the state. Clear Channel Radio has been a key player in helping us achieve success in the marketplace and we look forward to hearing Monarchs games on Newsradio for years to come.” Newsradio will broadcast all 80 Monarchs regular season games during the 2003-04 season. The network will also broadcast all playoff games involving the Monarchs during the 2004 Calder Cup Playoffs. In addition, Monarchs Director of Hockey Operations Hubie McDonough and Monarchs Head Coach Bruce Boudreau will be regular featured guests of the “Mike & Moe In The Morning” radio show, aired Monday through Friday from 5:30 to 9:00 a.m. on the Newsradio network. The morning show will also feature Monarchs game re-caps throughout the season. The Monarchs will also again have a major presence on WGIR-FM 101.1 and WHEB-FM 100.3 – Home of “Greg and The Morning Buzz.” The Buzz airs Monday through Friday from 5:30 to 10:00 a.m. The popular “Monarchs Monday” segment, featuring a special guest from the Monarchs, will be a regular part of Mondays on The Buzz throughout the 2003-04 season. Commenting on the contract extension, Bob Greer, Market Manager for Clear Channel’s Newsradio stations said: “We are excited to be continuing our partnership with the Manchester Monarchs and very honored by their broadcast commitment to Clear Channel. open their third AHL season at the Verizon Wireless Arena against the
Worcester IceCats on Friday, October 10 at 7:35 p.m. They will also host
the Lowell Lock Monsters on Saturday, October 11 at 7:35 p.m. and the
Portland Pirates on Wednesday, October 15 at 7:05 p.m. Currently, the
only way to secure a seat for the 2003-04 Home Opener is to purchase a
Monarchs full, half or ten-game season ticket package. For season ticket
