| MANCHESTER, NH – The Manchester Monarchs, the AHL affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, have recalled goaltender Adam Hauser from the Reading Royals (ECHL) and signed goaltender Matt Underhill to a professional tryout agreement, Monarchs Director of Hockey Operations Hubie McDonough announced today. Hauser and Underhill will each be in uniform when the Monarchs meet the Providence Bruins at 4:05 p.m. today at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center in Providence. The goaltending tandem will replace goaltenders Mathieu Chouinard and Milan Hnilicka on the Monarchs active roster. Chouinard and Hnilicka each suffered groin injuries over the weekend; Chouinard vs. Lowell on Friday, October 24; Hnilicka vs. Hartford on Saturday, October 25. Hauser, 23, is 3-0-1 in four appearances with the Royals this season. The native of Bovey, Minnesota, has a 1.71 goals-against-average, a .930 save-percentage and one shutout. Hauser, a second year pro, played for the Jackson Bandits (ECHL) and the Bruins during the 2002-03 season. In 35 appearances with the Bandits, he posted a 20-9-4 record, a 2.46 goals-against-average, a .916 save percentage and five shutouts. In one appearance with the Bruins, the 6-foot-2, 194-pounder was credited with a 3-3 tie against the Manchester Monarchs at the Verizon Wireless Arena on April 5, 2003. Underhill, 24, is 0-2-0 in two appearances with the Monarchs this season. The native of Campbell River, British Columbia, has a 4.55 goals-against-average and a .839 save-percentage. Underhill is also 1-0-0 in one appearance with the Florence Pride (ECHL) this season, and his Florence numbers include a 2.00 goals-against-average and a .926 save percentage. Underhill, also a second year pro, played for both the Pee-Dee Pride (ECHL) and the Bruins during the 2002-03 season. In 33 appearances with the Pride, the 6-foot-2, 210-pounder collected a 16-13-2 record, a 2.81 goals-against-average and a .907 save percentage. In seven appearances with the Bruins, he recorded a 3-3-1 record, a 3.08 goals-against-average and a .901 save-percentage. The Monarchs
