The Reading Royals opened their third season with a bang with a 6-1 victory over the Trenton Titans. Reading was led by defenseman Jon Zion who picked up a hat trick to lead the way and rookie forward David Masse who chipped in with three helpers. Royals netminder Adam Hauser was solid in net stopping 13 shots in the first period en route to a 31 save performance. Ten Royals got into the scoring. Also locking up multiple point games were captain Brad Church and recently signed Graig Mischler who each had a goal and an assist. The other Royal tally came from rugged forward Dave Stewart. The Royals return home tomorrow night to battle the Texas Wildcatters.
